LOLA ADESIOYE
Lola Adesioye – also known as Lola Vista – is a British-Nigerian writer, musician and cultural architect/founder based in New York City.
Known for her insight, strategic mind and multidisciplinary vision, she has built a career at the intersection of media, culture and creativity, using her voice and ideas to influence conversations, drive change and deliver tangible impact.
A graduate of Cambridge University, where she studied Social & Political Science, Lola is recognized as an expert socio-cultural analyst and seasoned political commentator. Her opinion, analysis and features on race, identity and society have appeared in leading international outlets including The Guardian, The Atlantic, The Economist, Forbes Africa, The Huffington Post, The New Statesman, CNN.com and more. She has also been a regular contributor of analysis and commentary for the BBC, MSNBC, Sky News, Al Jazeera, Channel 4, CNN and other leading networks, bringing clarity and nuance to complex social and political issues.
Before establishing herself as a commentator and cultural strategist, Lola worked in the music industry at Atlantic Records and Ministry of Sound before moving into project management for large-scale, award-winning global music events. She was a core part of the team behind the multimillion-dollar Nokia New Year’s Eve global music show, alongside Live Aid/Live 8 producer Kevin Wall, and has hosted her own events celebrating women, culture and leadership, interviewing prominent figures across music, media, creativity and film.
Lola continues to advise global brands and organizations on cultural strategy, creative leadership and inclusive innovation. She helps institutions and communities align their values with measurable impact and growth by connecting meaningfully with diverse audiences and building healthy cultures rooted in equity, creativity and progress. Lola has also served on several boards and committees dedicated to cultural innovation.
Performing as Lola Vista, she is also an accomplished musical artist, creating dynamic soulful music that complements her intellectual work – both driven by a commitment to truth, expression and transformation through creativity. Lola was awarded a National Arts Club Artist Fellowship in 2022/2023.
Descended from a family of change makers – including her great-grandmother Wuraola Esan, Nigeria’s first female senator and a pioneer of women’s education – Lola continues that legacy using her voice and vision to inspire progress, empower brilliance and build the cultural systems of the future.
